Russia annually exports $15 bln worth of weapons in past 3 years - FSMTC head

MOSCOW. Jan 28 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia's book of arms export orders stands at $55 billion despite current problems, according to the head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, Dmitry Shugayev.

"I can assure you that we have fulfilled our plans; our annual [exports] have roughly amounted to $15 billion in the past three years," Shugayev said in the Pozdnyakov program aired by the television channel NTV.

"Our book of orders nears $55 billion. This is good, considering the recent difficulties," Shugayev said.

Key Russian defense plants and the state arms exporter, Rosoboronexport, are operating under the Western sanctions.
