Azerbaijani president discusses Karabakh with U.S. National Security Advisor Bolton

BAKU. Jan 30 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton have discussed the Nagorno-Karabakh negotiating process by telephone, the Azerbaijani presidential press service said on Wednesday.

"In the course of the conversation, the parties discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, including energy security, cooperation in the security area, and the negotiating process on a peaceful settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh," the press service said.

The conversation took place at the U.S. side's initiative, it said.
