MOSCOW. Jan 30 (Interfax-AVN) - Another RD-180 rocket engine built for U.S. customers has been successfully tested, the head of NPO Energomash's testing center, Andrei Ushkov, said.
"The test program has been fully accomplished, and the engine has been operating smoothly," the Energomash press service quoted Ushkov as saying.
The RD-190 liquid-fuel rocket engine was designed by NPO Energomash for U.S. Atlas launch vehicles. The possibility of using it to power Russian rockets, including the super-heavy Yenisei, is being considered.
