TCG meeting begins in Minsk - Belarusian Foreign Ministry (Part 2)

KYIV. Jan 30 (Interfax) - A meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine (TCG) has begun in Minsk.

"A meeting of the TCG on the situation in Donbas is taking place in Minsk," the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said on Twitter.

The Foreign Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) said the TCG meeting will address issues discussed by relevant subgroups.

The security subgroup continues to address "the acute problem" of the consequences of ceasefire breaches by Ukrainian troops and violations of the framework decision. "In this context, it is especially important to promptly approve additional measures to reinforce and monitor the ceasefire," the DPR Foreign Ministry said.

According to the ministry, the humanitarian subgroup discussed the lists of captives in the context of a possible "all identified for all identified" swap, and the subgroup on economic issues addressed the mechanisms for paying pensions and repaying Ukraine's wage arrears to railway workers and the staff of the company Voda Donbassa.

"Today, the political subgroup continued working to unblock the discussion on the special status of Donbas. It raised a number of practical issues, including ones related to the legal field of the regulation of the special status," the DPR ministry said.
