MOSCOW. Feb 4 (Interfax) - The attempt to legitimize the usurpation of power in Venezuela is interference in its internal affairs and does not promote the viable settlement of the crisis, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"Forcing any solutions or attempting to legitimize the attempt to usurp power is, from our viewpoint, both direct and indirect interference in the internal affairs of Venezuela, he told reporters.
"This by no means promotes the peaceful, effective, and viable settlement of the crisis experienced by the people of Venezuela, who, from our viewpoint, should go through that crisis independently," he said.
"Any solution to the internal political crisis in Venezuela is only possible by the people of Venezuela," Peskov said.
