MOSCOW. Feb 7 (Interfax) - Major terrorist strongholds have been defeated in Syria and the nation's statehood has been preserved, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"We will continue to contribute to the peaceful resolution of crises and conflicts, including the one in Syria, where, largely thanks to Russia, major strongholds of terrorists were destroyed and the country's statehood was saved," Lavrov said at a public event on the occasion of Diplomatic Workers' Day in Russia.
