Ex-chief of Kurgan police appointed head of Interior Ministry's anti-extremist division

MOSCOW. Feb 8 (Interfax) - Former Kurgan police chief Oleg Ilyinykh has been appointed the head of the Russian Interior Ministry's anti-extremism department, according to a presidential decree published on the official database of legal information on Friday.

An informed source told Interfax earlier that Ilyinykh could get the position.
