MOSCOW. Feb 11 (Interfax) - Russia is ready to facilitate the inter-Korean dialogue, Federation Council Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Konstantin Kosachyov said.
"We are closely following the development of the inter-Korean dialogue and are ready to continue doing everything we can to facilitate it, if necessary," Kosachyov said at a meeting with North Korean Ambassador to Russia Kim Hyung Jun.
Russia will closely follow the second U.S.-North Korean summit in late February if it takes place, he said. "We are convinced that any solutions to the issues of the Korean Peninsula can be achieved only by political means and that ultimately, the language of blackmail and military threats is a dead-end," Kosachyov said.
