TBILISI. Feb 13 (Interfax) - Georgian Defense Minister Levan Izoria will meet with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg during his visit to Brussels, the press service of the Georgian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
Izoria will also have a meeting with NATO Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller.
The talks with senior NATO officials will be held on the sidelines of a meeting of NATO defense ministers, which is scheduled to take place in Brussels on February 13 and 14, the press service said.
The sides will address NATO-Georgia cooperation, the role played by Georgia in bolstering stability in the Black Sea region, transformations in Georgia's defense, and the NATO-GEO Exercise 2019 international drill due to be hosted by Georgia in March. The exercise will include Stoltenberg's visit to Georgia.
There will be bilateral meetings of Izoria with the defense ministers of Lithuania, Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey, and U.S. Ambassador to NATO Kay Bailey Hutchison.
"After his visit to Brussels, the Georgian defense minister will go to Germany for the Munich Security Conference," the press service said.
