SOCHI. Feb 14 (Interfax) - The next round of Astana talks on Syria will take place in late March or early April, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"We agreed that the next, 12th, round of these consultations will be held in Astana in late March or early April. The Astana 'troika' is maintaining close contacts with interested regional countries and international bodies," Putin told reporters on Thursday following talks with the Iranian and Turkish leaders in Sochi.
Several countries have asked to join the Astana format as observers, Putin said.
