MOSCOW. Feb 18 (Interfax) - The Kremlin has not received any appeals for social allowances from relatives of volunteers fighting in Syria, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"I am unaware of any appeals addressed to the president on this account, I haven't seen them, and therefore I can't say anything. As regards the matter that you've brought up here on the whole, this is not a matter for the presidential office," Peskov said when asked by a journalist to comment on reports that relatives of civilian volunteers fighting in Syria are sometimes left without any assistance in the case of their death.
The journalist had told Peskov about an interview given by the widow of a man killed in Syria, in which she said she had been denied any social allowances by all of the offices she had addressed, and in which she asked the Kremlin to somehow resolve this problem.
