KYIV. Feb 19 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed a bill on constitutional amendments regarding the strategic course towards joining the EU and NATO.
Poroshenko signed the bill on the stage of the Verkhovna Rada during a special extraordinary session on Tuesday.
Before the bill was signed, the president invited Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andriy Parubiy and Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman to join him on the stage in a demonstration of the unity of the different branches of the Ukrainian government.
On February 7, the Verkhovna Rada approved the constitutional amendments proclaiming the course towards entering into the EU and NATO.
