MOSCOW. Feb 19 (Interfax) - Moscow's emergency situations services received threats of bombs planted at the city's shopping malls at 3 p.m., a source acquainted with the situation told Interfax on Tuesday.
"Bomb threat reports were made in connection to the Kapitoliy shopping mall on Sheremetyevskaya Street and Vernadskogo Avenue and the Raikin Plaza on Sheremetyevskaya Street. Over 1,000 people were evacuated from these facilities so that the reports might be verified," the source said.
Unknown individuals also reported bombs planted at the Altufyuevsky shopping mall, the Parus shopping mall in Lokomotivny Alley, and the Metropolis shopping mall on Leningradsky Highway.
It was reported earlier that threats of bombs planted at the Atrium shopping mall on Zemlyanoy Val Street and the Zaryadye Park were received on Tuesday morning.
In addition, anonymous bomb threats were received by 2 schools, one a lyceum, located on Otrkytoye Highway.
Reports of bombs planted at these locations turned out to be false.
On February 16, the shopping malls Atrium and Kapitoly received anonymous bomb threats. They were also not confirmed.
