DONETSK. Feb 22 (Interfax) - A vehicle of the mission of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) came under attack near the Donetsk Water Filtration Station on Friday, a DPR representative in the JCCC told the press.
"A vehicle of the task force of the DPR mission to the JCCC came under attack by a Ukrainian army grenade launcher on Route N20, while it was driving past the Donetsk Water Filtration Station to meet the OSCE Conflict Prevention Center Director, Ambassador Marcel Pesko, and OSCE SMM Deputy Chief Monitor Mark Etherington who had arrived in the DPR for an official visit," the representative said.
At 11:55 a.m., the Ukrainian army fired a single shot at the vehicle of the JCCC officials from a GP-25 under-barrel grenade launcher, he said.
"OSCE vehicles were approaching the meeting point on Route N20 from the side of Kamyanka. No one was hurt. The JCCC officers have met the OSCE representatives and left the incident scene," the representative said.
Etherington and Pesko were due to visit the vicinity of Kamyanka and Yasynuvata on February 22, he added.
"The Ukrainian mission to the JCCC was notified about the time and venue of the events in advance, and provided relevant guarantees of security," the representative said.
