MOSCOW. Feb 22 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will pay visits to Vietnam and China next week; in China he is to participate in a ministerial meeting in the Russia-India-China trilateral format, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Friday.
"Sergei Lavrov will pay a visit to Vietnam in order to participate in the conference entitled 'International Cooperation in a Troubled World' on February 24-25," Zakharova said at a briefing in Moscow.
On February 25-26, Lavrov will travel to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China to hold talks with its Chief Executive Carrie Lam, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson said.
"Talks between Sergei Lavrov and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will take place on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting in the Russia-India-China format in Wu Zheng, Zhejiang province, on February 26," Zakharova said.
Venezuela, the situation surrounding North Korea, and arms control are matters which will be discussed during the meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, she said.
