Angara rocket to be made in Moscow until 2023, then in Omsk

MOSCOW. Feb 25 (Interfax) - The serial production of Angara launch vehicles will begin in Omsk in 2023, Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin said.

"The serial production of the Angara rocket will start at a plant in Omsk in 2023," Rogozin said at a presentation of a comprehensive plan to create the National Space Center and develop the Moscow site of the Khrunichev Center.

In general, the production program of this rocket envisages the production of up to 44 universal rocket modules, which will be assembled either as a light-class Angara or a heavy Angara in module constructions, he said.

According to the information provided at the presentation, at least two Angara rockets are expected to be produced on the Moscow site of the Khrunichev Center by 2023.
