Patrushev blames U.S. for severe humanitarian situation in Venezuela

MOSCOW. Feb 26 (Interfax) - Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev has said that the United States is to blame for the severe humanitarian situation in Venezuela.

"The severe humanitarian situation highlighted by Washington is a result of the U.S.' sanctions and embargoes. Humanitarian aid is being thrust [upon Venezuela] under these circumstances. And they are expecting this aid to be rejected nonetheless," Patrushev told the newspaper Argumenty i Fakty in an interview.
