MOSCOW. Feb 28 (Interfax) - The solution of crimes in Russia leaves much to be desired, as each second crime remains unsolved, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"This year, in the immediate future, the interior affairs bodies face a number of responsible tasks. It is of prime importance to gradually increase the level of solving crimes. Every resource, including the investigative and technical capabilities of the interior bodies, should be provided for that," Putin said at an enlarged Russian Interior Ministry collegium meeting on Thursday.
Putin said that he had been talking about that almost constantly at each Interior Ministry collegium meeting in recent years.
"However, the situation is changing slowly here. Almost every second crime remained unsolved in 2018, as in previous years," he said.
"I ask you to seriously think about what real steps should be taken to cardinally improve this situation," Putin said.
