Uzbekistan ratifies agreement with Russia on airspace use by military aircraft

TASHKENT. Feb 28 (Interfax) - The Uzbek Senate ratified the Uzbek-Russian agreement on the use of airspace by military aircraft on Thursday.

The Uzbek and Russian defense ministers signed the intergovernmental agreement on the use of the two countries' airspace by military aircraft at a meeting of the CIS Council of Defense Ministers in Tashkent on October 12, 2018.

"The agreement stipulates the rules of using the airspace of a host country by military aircraft of a sending country during direct flights," the information service of the Senate said in a statement.

The ratification of the document will allow making the granting of a permit for the use of the two countries' airspace quicker, it said.
