NEW YORK (UN). March 1 (Interfax) - The United Nations Security Council did not support a Russian draft resolution on Venezuela.
During a vote on Thursday, the Russian-drafted document did not receive the minimum number of votes it needed to pass. The UN Security Council president said that only four countries, including Russia and China, voted for it.
Russia and China had vetoed a rival U.S. draft resolution on Venezuela during a UN Security Council vote earlier on Thursday.
It means that the United States and Russia both failed on Thursday in rival bids regarding the Venezuelan crisis.
