Venezuela set to develop relations with Russia, proposes new agenda - Vice-President Rodriguez

MOSCOW. March 1 (Interfax) - Venezuelan Vice-President Delcy Rodriguez has invited Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to discuss a new agenda aimed at developing bilateral relations during their meeting in Moscow on Friday.

"Allow me to convey the gratitude of our president, Mr. Nicolas Maduro, and the people of Venezuela for the support we are receiving from Russia," Rodriguez said in her opening remarks.

Rodriguez described Venezuela as "a victim of the multifaceted aggression of the United States" and said that "this is a good moment to find new ways of cooperation", indicating this as a positive factor under the circumstances.

"Therefore, we propose a new agenda aimed at developing our relations," she said.
