MOSCOW. March 1 (Interfax) - Moscow supports Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro's efforts toward stabilizing the situation in the country and stands ready to join multilateral international and regional efforts to settle the crisis, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"We have expressed solidarity with our friends, the people of this country, we have expressed support for the measures being taken by Nicolas Maduro's government to prevent the situation from destabilizing further, we have reaffirmed our willingness to [join] efforts being made by regional and international mediators who speak in favor of an inclusive dialogue, and we will stand ready to be involved in them provided that the key Venezuelan political forces agree to this," Lavrov said at a press conference following talks with Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez in Moscow on Friday.
