Lavrov not ruling out U.S. intervention in Venezuela

MOSCOW. March 1 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has not ruled out a direct military intervention of the United States in Venezuela.

"Anything is possible, considering the current approaches of the U.S. administration. I do not rule out the administration deciding to take actions which will once again trample on every conceivable norm of international law," Lavrov said at a press conference following talks with Venezuelan Vice-President Delcy Rodriguez. He was asked whether he deemed a direct military intervention of the United States in Venezuela to be possible.
