MOSCOW. March 12 (Interfax) - South Korea and the United States are continuing talks concerning plans for joint military exercises in 2019, South Korean Ambassador to Russia Woo Yoo-keun said on Tuesday.
"As far as we know, the military authorities of the Republic of Korea and the U.S. are conducting talks, and a concrete plan for 2019 is being discussed," Woo said in an interview with Russian news agencies when asked whether the joint exercises planned for 2019 could be reduced in their scope or suspended.
"The Republic of Korea and the U.S. have made a preliminary decision on suspending or reducing their joint exercises," Woo said.
