MOSCOW. March 13 (Interfax) - Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is not planning to visit Russia in the near future and will not attend the Yalta forum in April, Syrian Ambassador to Russia Riad Haddad said.
When asked whether the Syrian president is planning to visit Russia, particularly to attend the Yalta forum, the ambassador answered: "No."
The media earlier reported that al-Assad was planning to attend the fifth Yalta International Economic Forum on April 17-20, 2019.
