Azerbaijan opens new outpost compound on border with Armenia

BAKU. March 19 (Interfax) - Director of Azerbaijan's State Border Service Col. Gen. Elchin Guliyev attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new compound of the Qazakh border outpost in the Qazakh district on the border with Armenia, the border service said on its website on Tuesday.

"When addressing the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new compound, Guliyev highlighted the importance of Azerbaijani border guards serving at the sector of the state border with Armenia in the Qazakh and Agstafa districts from the point of view of maintaining the integrity of the state border," the border service said.

Azerbaijani border guards are always ready to fulfill the orders and instructions issued by Azerbaijan's President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, Guliyev said.

Guliyev also visited border outposts located on the contact line between Azerbaijani and Armenian forces.
