MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - Moscow and Tokyo need to sign a peace treaty in order to achieve true partnership relations, Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Takeo Mori said.
"True partnership relations between our countries that would contribute to stability and prosperity of the Asia-Pacific region meet the strategic interests of the two countries," he said opening a meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov on Thursday.
"But for this to happen, it is necessary to resolve difficult outstanding issues and sign a peace treaty," he said.
