N.Korean sources in Moscow not aware of N. Korean leader's close aide's visit to Russia

MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - Well-informed North Korean sources in Moscow are not making any comment on the report of South Korea's Yonhap news agency that Kim Chang Son, a senior North Korean official, is visiting Russia.

"This is news to me. It's the first time I've heard about it," one of the sources told Interfax when asked to comment on the report.

"I know nothing about it," another source told Interfax when asked the same question.

South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported earlier on Thursday, citing unnamed sources, that Kim Chang Son, one of Kim Jong Un's closest aides is visiting Moscow.

This trip may indicate preparations for Kim Jong Un's visit to Russia, the agency said.

Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov declined to comment on this report. "I have nothing to tell you. I will leave this without comment," Peskov said on Thursday in response to a question from Interfax.
