MOSCOW. April 1 (Interfax) - Two Russian strategic Tupolev Tu-160 planes made scheduled flights over the neutral waters of the Barents, Norwegian and Northern Seas, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday.
"The duration of the flight was over 13 hours. The long-haul aviation planes were escorted by MiG-31 interceptor jets," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"On some sections of the route, the Russian planes were escorted by F-16 fighter jets of the Danish Air Force and Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft of the British Air Force," the report said.
