Admission of NATO ships to Sea of Azov can't be discussed hypothetically - Peskov

MOSCOW. April 3 (Interfax) - A decision on allowing NATO ships into the Sea of Azov can be based exclusively on a relevant request and cannot be discussed hypothetically, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"A decision will be made once a request is submitted. This is an enclosed body of water, a separate issue, and I'd rather not go into hypothetical discussion. It is possible to discuss a specific case," Peskov told the press on Wednesday in response to a question concerning circumstances under which Russia might allow NATO ships into the Sea of Azov.

"Of course, there is a certain system of notification about such plans, and that has to be complied with," he said.
