MOSCOW. April 8 (Interfax) - The issue of a full visa waiver between Russia and Turkey depends on Syrian settlement, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
It is an issue of negotiations between the special services, which are ongoing, he said.
"As to visa waiver, it is an issue associated with security in the region in general, including with the final solution of the Syrian issue. And our special services should come up with certain parameters here, and this work is ongoing," Putin told reporters after the Russian-Turkish talks in Moscow.
He also said he had de facto agreed with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan that "all holders of service passports of Turkey and Russia will use visa-free travel."
"According to the Turkish rules, there are three times as many holders of such passports in Turkey than in Russia," Putin said.
