MOSCOW. April 11 (Interfax) - The arrest of Julian Assange in London should not reflect on the future of former CIA employee Edward Snowden, who received asylum in Russia, Anatoly Kucherena, a lawyer for Snowden, told Interfax on Thursday.
Responding to a question as to how the arrest of his former partner might reflect on Snowden, Kucherena said: "These matters are not connected."
Speaking about the prospect of Snowden being granted Russian citizenship, the lawyer said that "only he can decide on that, but there is currently no such decision."
