U.S., other NATO states interested in buying Russian rocket engines - Rogozin (Part 2)

KHIMKI (Moscow region). April 12 (Interfax) - Certain NATO member states have displayed interest in buying Russian rocket engines, Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin told the press on Friday.

"There are other states (besides the U.S.), including NATO members, interested in buying Russian rocket engines," Rogozin told the press on Friday.

"There's no need to smash any pots: we want to fully preserve international space cooperation, which is a keynote element of diplomacy," Rogozin said.

"This is a very good sign indicating that Russia is continuing high-tech exports in spite of sanctions and pressure, and that we retain global leadership in the field of rocket engines," he said.

"This should be appreciated, because it generates revenue for the country," Rogozin said.

The export revenue is invested in new space hardware projects, he said.
