Extra 5.6 bln rubles to be allocated for development of new rocket engines - Putin

KHIMKI, Moscow region. April 12 (Interfax) - The Russian government will allocate an additional 5.6 billion rubles for the development of new rocket engines, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday.

"We'll find it," Putin said while meeting on Friday with employees of the NPO Energomash, a leading Russian rocket engine manufacturer.

The funding will be provided through additional oil and gas revenues, he said.

"Even the source has been identified; it's a source that we can use for such purposes. This is linked to receiving additional resources in the oil and gas sector," Putin said.
