Situation in Caracas calm, no info on harmed Russians - embassy

MOSCOW. April 30 (Interfax) - The situation in Caracas is generally calm, and there have been no reports indicating that Russian citizens may have been harmed somehow, the Russian embassy to Venezuela told Interfax in a statement on Tuesday.

"The situation is calm on the whole. There have been no reports on injuries among our citizens. On the whole, all Russian citizens traveling to Venezuela undergo the essential briefing," the statement said.

Russian citizens staying in Venezuela have been instructed to avoid areas where people are highly concentrated, it said.

"We hope there won't be any incidents," the statement said.
