Humanitarian subgroup on Donbas failed to discuss prisoner exchange - Luhansk

LUHANSK. May 15 (Interfax) - The participants in the humanitarian subdivision of the contact group on the settlement of the conflict in Donbas did not manage to discuss the exchange of held persons between Kyiv and representatives of Donetsk and Luhansk during a video conference held on Wednesday, Olga Kobtseva, a representative of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), said.

"Unfortunately, these issues could not be discussed during the video conference today,' Kobtseva told reporters on Wednesday.

The LPR hopes to discuss the prisoner swap during the next meeting between the participants in the humanitarian subgroup on Donbas scheduled for June 5, she said.

The office of DPR Human Rights Commissioner Darya Morozova said earlier on Wednesday that the members of the humanitarian subgroup were planning to hold a video conference to discuss "issues relating to the exchange of held persons and organization of a search for missing citizens."
