Kalashnikov increases exports revenue more than sevenfold in Q1 2019

IZHEVSK. May 16 (Interfax) - The revenue from the exports of the Kalashnikov Concern's (a part of Kalashnikov Group) produce reached 4.4 billion rubles in Q1 2019, according to a quarterly report of the enterprise on Wednesday.

The company's exports revenue amounted to about 604.85 million rubles in January-March of last year. This indicator of the enterprise thus rose 7.3 times.

The share of exports in the concern's overall revenue went down from 73.8% to 71.1% over this time.

The concern delivers its products to more than 30 countries, according to the report.

"Civil small arms manufactured by the Kalashnikov Concern are successfully exported to such priority destinations as the CIS [the Commonwealth of Independent States] countries, the Middle East, Africa and Asia (namely Kazakhstan, Georgia, South Africa, and others)," the report added.

Kalashnikov is Russia's largest manufacturer of assault and sniper rifles, as well as a wide range of precision weapons. The company's civilian products include hunting shotguns, sporting rifles, motorcycles, machines and tools. The Rostec state corporation holds a blocking stake of 25% plus one share in the concern, while private investors 75% minus one share.
