MOSCOW. May 16 (Interfax) - The participants in a meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly (PA) of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), due to take place in Bishkek on May 20, will discuss the situation in the CSTO's area of responsibility.
"During the session, the participants will hear a report detailing the CSTO's activities these days and also the results of this work and will also share their opinions regarding the further development of the parliamentary component of the CSTO and ways to update and bolster interaction with other international parliamentary structures," the CSTO said in a report published on its website on Thursday.
The sides will also exchange opinions on the situation in the organization's area of responsibility, it said.
Acting CSTO Secretary General Valery Semerikov will attend the session at the invitation of CSTO PA Chairman and Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, it said.
The CSTO includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan.
