MOSCOW. May 22 (Interfax) - The Russian Defense Ministry hosted negotiations on Syria attended by a delegation from the European External Action Service (EEAS) on Wednesday, the ministry said in a statement seen by Interfax.
"The participants exchanged opinions on the humanitarian situation in Syria, including the return of refugees," the statement said.
The EEAS delegation was led by Jean-Louis De Brouwer, the director for Europe, Eastern Neighbourhood, and the Middle East at the European Commission's Directorate General of European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO).
"Based on the meeting's results, they agreed to continue interaction on the Syrian track. The event passed constructively," the statement said.
