UN SC considering idea of installing truce in Libya - Bogdanov

MOSCOW. May 23 (Interfax) - Moscow does not rule out that the idea of establishing a ceasefire in Libya could be considered by the UN Security Council, the Russian Presidential Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov, said on Thursday.

"I think it is being considered, of course. There are many various ideas," Bogdanov said in a response to a question posed by Interfax.

Russia held consulted with various parties to the intra-Libyan conflict and its UN partners, he recalled.

When asked whether Russia would back such an idea, Bogdanov said: "We need to look at wordings. Work is ongoing."
