MOSCOW. May 23 (Interfax) - Over 90 satellites for scientific and socio-economic purposes are included in the Russian orbital cluster, Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin said.
The Russian orbital cluster includes a total of 91 satellites of scientific and socio-economic designations, Rogozin said in a lecture to Moscow State University students.
These spacecraft include the Spektr-R orbital telescope, the connection with which was lost last January. Since then, NPO Lavochkin experts have been trying to restore communication with the spacecraft.
In 2018, the Russian orbital cluster was replenished with eight satellites and now comprises 156 civilian and military spacecraft, Rogozin said earlier.
