MOSCOW. May 26 (Interfax) - The Gremyashchiy corvette of Project 20385 has entered the Gulf of Finland to under another stage of plant trials, the Russian Baltic Fleet press service said on Sunday.
"The crew and industry officials are checking the way the systems and mechanisms of the ship are functioning at sea," the report said.
According to earlier reports, the Gremyashchiy corvette will be provided to the Russian Navy in 2019. It is expected to go to the Pacific Fleet. Project 20385 corvettes carry Kalibr missiles
The builders' trials are conducted to check ships' infrastructure systems, radiotechnical weapons, including navigation systems, communication systems, rescue systems, damage control systems, ventilation systems and air conditioning systems. "Speed, maneuver and vibration tests are performed on the ships in various modes," the fleet press service said.
