Glonass-M satellite put into final orbit - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. May 27 (Interfax) - The Fregat booster, which normally separated from the third stage of the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle, has successfully put the Glonass-M satellite into the final orbit, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Monday.

"The Soyuz-2.1b medium rocket, which blasted off from the Plesetsk State Experimental Cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region at 9:23 a.m. Moscow time on Monday, May 27, successfully put the Russian navigation satellite Glonass-M into the final orbit in due time," the ministry said.
