ST. PETERSBURG. June 6 (Interfax) - Russia and the UK should turn over the page in their relationship related to spies and attempted assassinations, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"We need to at last turn over this page related to spies and attempted murders," Putin told heads of foreign news agencies at a meeting on Thursday
"It was not us who spied against you regarding the supposed attempted poisoning in Salisbury. He was your agent, not ours. That means you were spying against us," he said.
All these memories should be laid to rest, he said.
"Global issues such as national economic interests, social issues, and global security are more important than intelligence agencies' games," Putin said.
