LE BOURGET (France). June 18 (Interfax) - The Ilyushin company is now building the third and fourth Ilyushin Il-112V light transport planes, the company's CEO Yury Grudinin said.
"We are working on two vehicles; the third and fourth planes are under construction, everything is going according to plan," Grudinin said.
The program of Il-112V trials has been approved and is proceeding as planned, he said.
The Il-112V is the first military transport plane fully designed by Russia in the post-Soviet period. It is meant to be a replacement for the aging fleet of Antonov An-24 and An-26 aircraft. The new aircraft performed its maiden flight in Voronezh on March 30.
