MOSCOW. June 18 (Interfax) - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has urged all parties to show self-restraint against the backdrop of the United States' plans to heighten its military presence in the Middle East.
"We found out about that from media reports. We are definitely urging all sides to show self-restraint and would prefer not to see any steps which might create additional tensions in this already turbulent region," Peskov told the press on Tuesday.
Journalists had asked him to comment on the Pentagon's plans to send additional troops to the Middle East.
