Iran's steps in JCPOA context forced but reversible - Ryabkov

MOSCOW. June 18 (Interfax) - Moscow understands that Tehran's latest actions in the context of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) for the Iranian nuclear program have been dictated by the situation and are selective and reversible, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Tuesday.

"Russia is fully aware that Tehran's actions are forced, selective, and, most importantly, reversible in nature. We understand and in many respects share Iran's disappointment about the absence of an appropriate reaction to its persistent requests that Tehran's concerns regarding the JCPOA's lagging in terms of its practical benefits be taken into consideration," the Foreign Ministry quoted Ryabkov as saying in a commentary posted on its website.

Iran "is complying with all of its obligations, and it technically remains within the JCPOA framework even today," Ryabkov said.
