MOSCOW. June 19 (Interfax) - The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO)'s Military Committee will meet in Moscow on June 21.
"Preparations for joint operative and combat exercises, which are due in 2019," will be one of the items on the agenda, the CSTO Secretariat said in a statement seen by Interfax on Wednesday.
The Military Committee comprises the chiefs of General Staffs of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Tajikistan, as well as the first deputy chief of the Kyrgyz Armed Forces' General Staff, and the chief of the CSTO Joint Staff.
Acting CSTO Secretary General Valery Semerikov will be attending the meeting, the statement said.
The sides will discuss the development of the Collective Rapid Response Force and the Collective Rapid Deployment Force in the Central Asian collective security region, it said.
The implementation of priority military projects proposed by Kyrgyzstan as the CSTO chair country will be discussed, too, the statement said.
