BRUSSELS. June 19 (Interfax) - The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probing the downing of the Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 (MH17) over Ukraine in 2014 assumes that the passenger airliner could have been downed by mistake.
Speaking at a press conference in the Netherlands on Wednesday, a JIT representative said there was a chance that the suspects might have actually sought to down a military rather than a passenger plane, but even if that is the case, the JIT would hold them accountable for downing the MH17.
