Ukrainian police launch murder inquiry into parliamentary Tymchuk's death

KYIV. June 19 (Interfax) - Ukraine's National Police have opened a murder inquiry into the death of parliamentarian Dmytro Tymchuk, the police said.

"Police have opened a criminal case over the death of a parliamentarian in Kyiv under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (premeditated homicide)," the National Police said on its Facebook page on Wednesday.

The coordinator of the Information Resistance group and a member of the People's Front parliamentary faction had died in Kyiv "during the cleaning of an award pistol," his fellow faction member Anton Herashchenko said earlier on Wednesday.
